If we have a full agenda we may limit the time speakers have to a few minutes.  However if we find that speakers need more time, we can hold a special meeting and take the time to hear everyone.  All speakers can submit the following information via our Submit A Speaker Slip to the right, up until 3:00pm on meeting day.  We will also have Speaker Slips available at our meetings.

For Non Agenda Items:

Please fill out a Speaker Slip to the right, up until 3:00pm on meeting day.

Columbus is Changing & Growing

  • New Columbus residents since 2010: 120,000

  • Projected regional population by 2050: 3 million

  • To make up for our housing shortage and keep up with growth, our region needs to double the number of new units built each year.

An updated zoning code is an important part of guiding growth in a smart and equitable way.

See the Code Proposal at the Zone In Gallery

In April, the City of Columbus will introduce a proposal to modernize the zoning on Columbus corridors.
We’ve created the Zone In Gallery – an interactive space where you can learn all about it.

Timeline

Eastland plan.jpg

Creating an inclusive and equitable new chapter for Eastland requires a bold, long-term vision. This consists of a framework that centers around people, places, and opportunity. It is critical to identify the needs, challenges, and opportunities for all the stakeholders within the Eastland community, from housing to education to employment to history and culture.

To create a community-driven vision, this planning process will engage Eastland area stakeholders who live, work, worship, play, and learn in the community. This will ensure the Eastland Community Plan will be a successful roadmap to a bright future for everyone.

Eastsiders!!

Once again you out did yourself! Over 200 of you attended the second Eastland Plan Open House.  The program was informative, taking all that you submitted through the surveys.  DON'T STOP NOW!  Please take a moment and take the follow-up survey.  Help us to continue to move forward towards a new, revised, and reinvigorated eastside!

Thank you to everyone who came to the second Public Meeting for the Eastland Community Plan on Saturday, March 2nd! If you weren't able to make it or if you didn't get a chance to fill out the survey, please reference the presentation linked below, then answer the following questions. These questions will help the Planning Team to better understand Eastland's issues and opportunities and will be used to inform the development of plan recommendations.

You can continue to make your voice heard by completing Online Survey #2. If you complete this survey by 4/7/24, you will automatically have a chance to win a $50 Kroger Gift Card!
